It's funny isn't it. I've always said it. Many many times, these drivers in their super duper VERY expensive cars, are the lousiest drivers going. If he can afford a car like this, then he can afford the insurance. Looks like he wasn't driving it sensibly anyway, as the police are doing him. HERE Isn't this similar to the one Clarkson was testing last year?

It's the same model that Top Gear's James May took to a 250 mph top speed in a recent programme. ...and they call the Scorpio ugly

Strange thing is that I saw that episode last night. I'm not into supercars but that is one helluva piece of engineering. My father used to say a loaded gun was harmless, the person holding it is the danger...same with something like this, the driver becomes the inferior part. If that was my car, it wouldn't even be allowed out in the wet, let alone on a busy road Regards, Bruce.

| Not wrapped round a bloody tree it isn't Just another heap of highly expensive scrap metal now. I wouldn't mind betting he's got a "My other car's a BMW" on the rear screen............. Give me my Scorpio any day.

I heard that the driver was actually hirng this car from an executive hire company ( only the second time they'd hired it) at £20000 a day. Hope that included insurance. Alastair
