If your rearview mirror has died and is oozing its repellant acidic putrefacted apidocre ( I must stop watching CSI ) Fear not, don't buy a dodgy one from a scrappy get on to E-Bay USA and bid on a Donnelly Autodim, I got one for only £27 smackers including P+P. Fitted it today to my Crown Vic. It's got a compass too should you get lost on the B6587. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f78/smallparts456/IMG_108956.jpg

Utilise the pos and neg wires from the old mirror, remove the old mirror and mounting point ( the US fixing wedge is different unfortunately ), superglue the new mounting wedge to the screen and fit the new mirror.

A couple of months back, there was this nice chap who found out that some Donelly mirrors had a lifetime warranty. The same generous chap also gave an email address for Donelly customer services so you could find out for certain whether the mirrors in the Scorpio also had a lifetime guarantee. Nobody answered as I remember
