Wow...that's an impressive list of services you provide So if someone with dodgy electrics, plumbing & drains, who also wanted there house decorated & Ikea flat packs put together, & garden spruced up....would you chuck in a free car service ? Seriously though, good luck Stuart ...I hope it works out

Good luck Stuart!! I've been made redundant 3 times in my life, and it is a highly unpleasant, financially disastrous and stressful thing to happen to anyone as we both know. I wish you all success, and hope it works out for you.

Good luck Stuart. We started Unitec after getting made redundant in November 1998 and never looked back since! You will never work for someone else again after doing it on your own!

Indeed, good luck on your new venture ( don't give up the Scorps though !!). I know a guy in my area who started up a similar business. From the off he was overwhelmed with offers of work, local people were fed up of established plumbers, mechanics, electricians, builders, Etc. letting them down with exorbitant hourly rates and poor quality of work.

Good Luck Stuart NB Keep EVERY invoice you are given(Indian Meals, tools, workclothes, cleaning, fuel, repairs etc.etc.etc.), it's amazing what you can offset against your tax bill.......esp. important when you are starting up. A good accountant can work wonders too DH Dove

Good luck Highlander, I went self-employed three years ago and I can honestly say its one of the best things I have done. I dont think I could ever go back to working my backside off for someone else again! Just this morning I got a letter from HMRC telling me that they are going to refund me over £700 in overpaid tax!!
