Sounds like really good fun, and as I'm a very keen computer builder/repairer myself, I only wish I had the time to go, but having recently been over in Munich visiting my Wife's Son who lives there, that's our Euros spent for the time being!!   Cry

We inadvertantly picked the week when the Strong Beer Festival was being held..........Really!!
HERE

Shame neither of us really drink (although we did try the odd sip of these amazing rocket fuels), but we did have a super evening at the venue and this is where the breweries all try out their new brews before the famous Beer Festival later in the year.  The Strong Beer Festival is a far better gathering in my opinion, as there are virtually no tourists. Much more of a genuine event.

I'll give the Krauts something.....they make good beers!!

Currently building a very powerful machine based on a DFI Lanparty board (in my opinion the best Motherboards in the world), and having great fun doing it. These boards have the challenge of being able to be overclocked to extreme levels........which is the intention.

Sorry to all you non-geeks out there!!  You probably won't have a clue what I'm going on about, but when you use a REAL computer, (especially one that you've built to your own spec), then you'll never want anything else.  Grin  Grin

Alas SD, I could rant on the same about hifi systems. Once you've built/heard a good one, no mini system or budget stack bought in Comet ever cuts the mustard (or is that groove...) again Grin Wink

But, I can't find the same enthusiasm in PCs to be honest. I build my own too and try and get the best parts I can but if it's stable and does the job, it's good enough for me Smiley. My desktop is about 5 years old now but was the best parts I could get at the time and I've upgraded it almost as far as possible and it still stands up well to new machines. Going to get a top end GFX card (I love my 3D Wink) and make the 'upgrade' to either 2000 or XP but other than that it's fine for the moment.

Regards, Bruce Wink.
