i was poodling down the thanet way behind a sierra cosworth that was allso poodling down the road  Roll Eyes other 24v owners will be pleased to know that he could not pull away from me, when with 500yds from the roundabout at st nicholas my drive belt decided to disintegrate, [ my fault i knew it was dodgy see dont' think i've done anything wrong but on the probs page]how i got round the round about is a mystery to me, i have never driven a car with steering as heavy as the scorp, once i had lost my speed i could hardly turn the wheel, had a brainwave and called out the nice men at the AA thought they will have a spare belt lying around on a bank holiday sunday, save me a job, and guess what? he towed me home. sorry pegasus old belt no longer available for you to inspect.

One bit of advice that I do and always have done.

I change my drive belts every year and keep the old ones in the spare wheel well , because of the strange man whose name is .

On your weekly engine bay check     ( you do it don't you ?  Tsk, Tsk, )   a deteriorating  belt  is easy  to  spot.
