After many years of driving back and to to the South of France and all the mither and problems it causes getting on and off boats and overnight stops..... I finally found the perfect tool for getting to the Villa in Britanny this year.... The TGV..... Check out the speed!! 185mph and the limit is shown as 80 mph. (the nav was slightly out and it thought we were on the road next to the railway line!! This was my tomtom stuck on the window!!

did anyone see the programe last week on the mag/lev train that does the 25 km trip to the airport in the far east(i think it was shanghai,,, not sure ) there is no vibration whatsoever as the name says it floats on magnetic induction(levitation). on the straights the speed was phenominal but on the bends it had to slow down as the passengers couldn,t keep in their seats. the germans built it and the programme showed them delivering it and installing it , fascinating viewing, transport of the future i think!
