A Cosworth ECU for Granny? Anyone?

Hi there! A local scrabbie came to pay me a visit the other day. Actually I called him and asked him to pickup a skeleton of 4x4 -91 Scorps Granny from the backyard. He saw my collection (two grannies on different stages of breaking and two scorps, one donator one under construction) and started telling me about his Scorpio. He bought it from Germany with a blown engine, because he got a factory built new 24V to go with it I was amazed and then he continued the story, the engine was actually Grannys engine BOA-type, but it was equipped with a full wiring loom and ECU. The ECU was stamped with a Cosworth stamp! He'd been told that it produces 240bhp with that box. Well of course I wanted to buy the whole lot from him, but he wasn't selling The engine is in his garage. Sitting there quietly with all the raging horses silently dormant... What a waste! Well... I'm asking you, have you heard of such an ECU? One that fits into a Cossie Scorps (Granny) I want one!

Hi there, i heard of camshafts from the BOB engine into a BOA engine, but don't know about an ECU swap. You could try here also http://www.fordpower.org.uk/forum/

Yes, I have had a look at that site, thanks. There was actually something about the BOB manifold fitted into a BOA engine. Interesting indeed.

the bob cams have a higher lift then the boa cams, they fit and benefit the boa engine, heard of gains of 10 to 15 bhp and they make it sound truly awesome
