Opinions please

Ok, so the old school mini is leaving me, i need a replacement. Will only do daily 11m work run through town (hoping to get my scorp through another year), so needs to be small, economical, reliable, with bags of character. Have up to £7k to spend. Dont like the new mini or beetle or fiat, definately not an MX-5.

Narrowed it down to Nissan Figaro (coolest and more room, but older and slower), Daihatsu Copen (lots of toys, newer, only 2 seats) or Smart Roadster (as per Copen). Anyone had any dealings with these?

Any opinions?

aprilia rsv mille 1000.........

with titanium aprilia factory race exhaust fitted, superb torque from the 1000cc v twin feels like the back wheel is punching the tarmac, gorgeous looking bike with typical italian styling and character, the shockwave from the exhaust makes your ears feel like they're bleed........

those suzuki coffee things are awful, get a convertible smart car in lime green tiger stripes..... Grin

an ex girlfriend had a smart car, excellent little thing, plenty of leg room etc, bit of space behind the seats for shopping, i did think the dash etc looked a little bit 'early learning centre' and it was a bit noisy at speed.....

yep, i think the smart beats the copen and suzuki, i think. so its between the smart roadster for more modern driving, and the copen for retro cool. hmmm....

no it has the K-series, and 5 gears !! luxury !!

yep, im ignoring the temp at the moment, scanned it and no errors, so im thinking wrong thermostat in it (which is a pig to do on these). pull to the right is annoying though....

Please bear in mind the this vehicle is mid engined and therefore not DIY servicing friendly.
The oil can only be changed by sucking back through the dipstick.  The engine has been taken out to replace the sparkplugs and to even simply change the pollen filter requires stripping half the back end down.  Lips Sealed
