Hi to all from sunny diss a totaly new boy on the block as far as scorpios go i have got myself a 95 ultima 16v 2.0ltr it goes well considering i only payed out £350 for her the only prob with her is the hot air blower will not work even with the aid of a 4 pound hammer getting 4 new tyres THEY COST HOW MUCH then down to hopefully get her through the mot.All being well me and the boss aka mrs beth will have a nice easy cruise up to scotland to visit with other mad scots in the family lol.She has always started first time and what a sweet wee engine on her much smoother than the 2.5 turbo diesel bmw i am driving now,if anyone has a bigger hammer for the blower or know a good electrics man anywhere near norfolk feel free to let me know

Good luck with the car and the trip. Have a read of THIS page and the 'links' down the left hand side of the page. If you remove the HBC unit you can see the actual blower motor inside the 'box' and it has been known for this to seize up. Spray WD 40 in there and then ....GENTLY.....try and rotate the motor with a thin piece of wood.   Wink

There is also a relay, coloured yellow, R 28, in the retainer behind the glovebox. Open the glovebox, release the clips at the side and let it 'fall' open. Look up below the dash and there is a compartment with the relay in. Could it be this that you are hearing 'clicking'?.  Wink

£524 for a set of boots? Shocked

What size are they? The 225/50 R16's with the 12 spoke alloys?

Try online, £300-£350 sounds more on the mark for good brand name tyres, do you really need Michelins on a 2.0?

Welcome to the site by the way Smiley

Regards, Bruce.
