Looking to pick up a 7 seater sometime in the near future, A Galaxy, Maverick or the like, anyone any experience of these?

As usual I'm not going to be spending any serious amount of money on my cars so i'm not going for anything remotely new Wink

Any help, ideas, funny jokes?  Grin

hi stuart

the sister in law has a 2.3 galaxy ghia. very car like. engine is powerful enough for it and does 25mpg on the m/way. some of the parts are vw/audi so are a bit pricey.

other one i've driven is the voyager. this is my fav seven seater because of the seating arrangement. don't think it gets a good write up in a crash, but i don't want to crash it! Winki done about 2k miles in florida in it and it was perfect.

I'd strongly recommend a Honda Shuttle. I only got rid of mine because it would have cost an absolute fortune to change to Spanish plates. The (lhd) headlights alone are about 500 quid!

Fast, reasonably economical and utterly reliable. They only come with auto gearboxes, though.

Highlander.
What about a stretched Granada or Scorp from a funeral car auction, they are usually low mileage depending upon the distance to the nearest crematorium.

Montego estate with the extra 2 seats in the boot, or a LR Discovery.  Sister in law just sold her 2.3 auto Galaxy.  She liked driving it but as you'd expect, it was a bit heavy on fuel!

why have 7 seats? Get an ol' transit minibus and have 16,then you get spare ones to put yer feet up.

Having driven an old transit when I moved ...  never again !!!!!! My votes for a Chysler Grand Voyager, I had a 1997 3.3 and really enjoyed it. It was the MOST practical vehicle I've ever had ( and lost Sad )

Suprising good on fuel, when driven nicely.
