Drive water/brown's gas/HHO.

I recently met a guy that runs a classis Rolls and Daimler hire for weddings etc.
On the subject of MPG he told me his running costs were offset by a complementry system which I later found out to be known as "Drivewater"
A glimse under the bonnet revealed 3 jars of water and a pipe going to the air intake!.
Further investigation via the net revealed the process;
A small amount of baking soda is added to distilled water,a 12 volt current is introduced ,the gas liberated by this process(HHO)(Browns Gas) is piped off and introduced by vacuum into the air intake and/or pcv circuit,
He boasted quite good mpg figures;an extra 10-15 miles using tis system.
I'm trying to cobble together more info on this subject,if anyone has some knowledge or views of this process please post on here.

Apparently, there have been a few injuries incured by some who have fitted this water into hydrogen thing......Mainly from when it explodes

Hi guys.
This reminds me a bit of my first experience trying to build a working engine using home made fuel when I was a kid.
Malt vinegar + Baking soda x (shake a little  ) =
Tried to build a working engine like this, depleted the world's stocks of Sarson's and made a lot of mess but never had much success 
From there my next brainchild was a go kart powered by a homebrew steam engine. Apparently the thoughts of a park full of burns victims on a hot sunny day meant mum would never let me build it 
From there an industrial spin drier motor strapped to the back of the chassis, controlled by a dimmer switch driving a 2.5ft propeller 
Yes, I was a very dangerous kid, health and safety nightmare..
This sounds like Lego in comparison

No, seriously Jabbacar, it sounds very interesting and I would love to hear about any progress you make.
I have for years had an idea of building an engine with only 1 moving part, no fuel and no emissions. In theory there is no way that it couldn't work. The only problems are that it would take loads of money to develop, if it were developed it would be scuppered (politically) because it would put loads of big boys out of business.
NOW THEN, that's got you thinking hasn't it?

PS: at the moment I have got LPG to help in the cost area which cuts the fuel cost in half so the fiver a gallon is controlled a bit...

It's a bit like the 'ever lasting' filament bulbs, word has it that one of the big companies bought the patent and 'lost' it somewhere very secure. The fact that both Ford and Honda (to name just 2) have been messing with this technology for years now without and real success tells me that a small company who claims to have found the holy grail of eco fuel economy is selling a farce designed to protect no more than their company's economy
Methane is the way to go, install a herd of Aberdeen Angus under the hood of every car and solve the farming and fuel crisis under one
Oh, and it decreases the impact the cow's flatulence has on the ozone layer, apparently now cattle are the big global warming evil

Erm.. no
Somebody failed physics/chemistry 101 I think.
The wasted energy is mostly let out as heat, not unburnt fuel. A cat wouldn't last long with 80% unburnt fuel going into the exhaust.

So by their reasoning, since water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen, and water is safe, then mixing hydrogen and oxygen and igniting must be safe too.
