MORE power into the veggie boiler

Hi'ya guys'n gals!

Some time ago I purchased a Diesel Scorps from Germany.
Many little things are still wrong with the car, but let's not get into them now.

I started selling Diesel performance enchancer modules and of course to proove they really work, I had to buy one for my car as well. The installation took about an hour, I wanted to do it slowly and document it well. Then tuning it took a day or two - again wanted to fine tune it properly.

And now I have a sportsdiesel!  Grin

The difference is noticeable, even though I'm still in the process of of finding a status quo between max power and max comfort, because the equipment does make the idle just a little bit uneven. But with my OBD scanner and software I was able to measure an average of 2 sec improvement in 0-60mph acceleration! (0 - 100km/h to be exact, I'm in Finland)

There are also promises of a better mpg, but that is yet to be proven.

Nice gadget, anyone has done it? Comments and experinces are welcomed!

Well, er... being a SALESPERSON I might have been slightly too optimistic with the results, but I took two of the WORST times and calculated the difference between them:

With the box: 11,62 sec from 0 to 100km/h
Without it: 13,67 from 0 to 100km/h

The best time with the box was: 10,85 sec and
without it 12,27sec.

Three test runs with the box all ended below 11 sec and
three test runs without the box were all above 12 sec.
So it's safer to talk about 1 sec improvement...

Sorry guys!

No Jonnycab, it is not that one, but if you'd like more info on this box, throw me a PM.

It would not be correct for me to advertise it here.

And how does it work, it actually messes up the signals coming in to the ECU and that makes it think more fuel is needed. Basically all this box does is it adds more diesel into the engine. They're not telling me everything, but the newer versions for the newer cars also tune the inlet manifold pressure (turbo charge) and other stuff.

There is a claim that the mpg gets better with the box, which sounds funny to me, and that is yet to be proven.

But it works, I've been quite happy with it so far.

Hi guys!

Gone through the first tank full of diesel and DID NOT see ANY improvement in mpg. So the benefit of this equipment seem to be the increased torque & bhp with the same amount of diesel.

Actually I've now planned on putting in a Cossie diff to get better mpg.

Will keep posting more mpg reports after a few tank full of diesel has gone through (should anyone be interested in this subject anyway)  Roll Eyes

Wouldnt a 24v diff decrease your mpg?

given the 24v diff has a slightly higher ratio then your RPM would be higher at any given speed than it would be with the standard diesel diff.

Hang on, I thought it was vice versa!

 Shocked

Bummer! So it is, transmission ratio is 3,36 in Diesel and 3,64 in Cossie...

 Cry

THANKS for bringing that up, I had them diff's mixed up in my mind. (Would have got better 0 to 60mph though  Grin )
