Start with a 9" angle grinder. may have to tie on a couple of empty oil drums to cope with the weight. at least it would then have a decient water pump.

after looking at this job for some 7.5 seconds now, I think the easiest way would be to cut the bottom of the wave runner at the water line, very carefully lower the scorp dowm on top & secure with a few cable ties, fabricate some paddles onto the rear wheels (tyres removed, best if wheels were alloy to save on weight) I think if you go fast enough you might not need the drums, steering may be a problem, one solution would be to remove the cars ABS / TCS & fabricate a 'fiddle' brake sertup to work the rear brakes independantly, I think Hillman Imp master cyls (clutch & brake are both the same) or get a pair from a Marina (the car not where you are going to use your new craft) I think the 0.625" bores should be adiquate for the 24v rear calipers. would maske sure the scorps wiper linkage is in good condition, you will need to see whwere you are going. a rear view mirror mounted upside down on the roof so you can look through it with s/roof open (will be too much spray to use side mirrors) to keep an eye on any water skiers you may tow, thats if you have a tow bar fitted. haven't worked out how to waterproof the fuse boxes yet, will sleep on that for now wd40 may not be up to the job, though I think some members have used a hair dryer, perhaps a wind turbine on the roof & a voltage inverter ?.

was going to surgest that fuse boxes (after extending wiring) could be suspended below a pair of remote control helicopters to keep them out of the water, but after some thought (another 2.8 secs) that would be quite silly, their fuel tanks would not be big enough to allow for a suitable length cruise.

'duct tape' sorry only sensable ideas please, that would be far too easy, so cant work. trying to arrange a 'conferance' call so I can run a few ideas by some others, have cancelled tonights plans as 'brain storming' meetings tend to over run a bit.

when I was at Lydd waterski club we grafted a V6 2.7 litre two stroke Suzuki 225hp outboard motor powerhead into a 2 seater jet ski It was a vicious bit of kit and did around 90mph across a flat lake lol It didnt handle very well though, it spat me off at around 70 mph, thought i was never gonna stop !!!

Yeah they are wicked fun especially smaller ones with big engines. I got a Yamaha GP 1200 now with a few mods, reeds, exhaust impellor etc, its very quick but they burn huge quantities of petrol and oil Mine will eat 60 quid in an hour But it does a real 80 mph on a flat loch lol

There was an identical Yamaha GP 1200 to mine, but red and white (mine's blue and white). It has a blown crankshaft, all stripped to bits ready for re- build but owner has no money to do it. It's on a good trailer for 500 quid, down at the ski club in August. I nearly bought it then as we always got family up since we moved up here we cant get rid of 'em lol. Its far more fun when you have two so you can race 'em Didn't have the time to go get it on my last visit, but I will see if it's still there when I visit relly's in December. I expect it will be as although It's worth 3 grand done, no one wanted it cos of the cost of the crank..... BUT... I got a mate who works for Yamaha can get me a crank, ring set and gasket set at cost Hmmm........ I have got a scrap ride on mower rolling chassis that would take a cossie lump, I bought 2 off e-bay recently and built one good mower so have all the left overs
