Fed up with modern motors Previously reliable Mondeo now off road with immobiliser fault. Scorp is now once again No.1 transport but for how long? Answer-get a bog standard motor with no fancy gadgets, one that I can look under the bonnet and know what I am looking at and above all, I can fix when it goes wrong! What's more, it's got a blue oval badge. Got it yet? Only a Sierra P100 Pickup-Cool or what?! Absolutely love it. Next on the agenda is a Mk. 2 Zodiac convertible. And then perhaps an ex-GPO Morris Z van....

You don't have to be mad to own a Scorp - but it helps!

What year is the mondeo, as I had problems with my 1994 granda scorpio immobiliser, the solder joints inside had gone dry and just needed to be resoldered.

Nice choice shame you picked the sierra thats built out of half a transit and has the most unreliable engine in the range if its a 1.8TD one Joking aside, they're good fun and something a little unusual - make sure you pop over to the FSOC forum and introduce yourself - we're a friendly bunch and try to offer the same support and assistance as you've come to expect from the guys here in the Scorpio forum

a900one. It's an R reg. Yeah, autoleccy suspects same thing and has taken box away to resolder. Pinto:- No it's a 2.0 Pinto. Engine is mint-only 85k. What is theFSOC forum? sounds good. Penny's dropped, Ford Sierra Owners' Club? Doh

| http://forum.fordsierraclub.co.uk Pinto makes her a slightly older one - E/F/G registration ? Used the same 2 litre low compression lump as the tranny - good for lifespan but poor for horsepower - assuming you dont happen to have a Turbo Technics kit tucked away .... in which case low comp is a GOOD thing LOL Nice to see another example with a good home
