Just read David49uk, post about changing rad then finding water pump leaking. Ive had about 6 weeks trouble free at the moment, but just know something will go wrong soon, has anyone actually had maybe 6 months or even a year where nothing went wrong??

Think anyone will wave their underpants at the fates by confessing to 365 trouble free days of Scorpio Ownership ? LOL Mine has been preeeeety much trouble free so far - the biggest issue i've had is broken ignition lock and the idiot who locked his keys inside... ahem

The previous one I had (a 2.3 estate), if I remember correctly, went for about 9 months with no problems at all - then the engine seized.

Things always go wrong on the Scorpio ...... It all depends on whether it keeps you off the road or not Small problems like fluid leaking from the P/S pressure sensor, ABS/TC lights coming on due to gunged up rear wheel sensors & a dodgy headlight switch have never kept me off the road for more than a few hours. That's all I've really had wrong with the car in the last year & 25000 miles The two years previous to that were a different story though .......Replaced practically everything that can go wrong on the 2.3....all new engine sensors, heater matrix, water pump, front crankshaft oil seal, diff pinion & seal, alternator, 3 inlet manifolds (got to replace it again at some point in the near future), about 4 steering racks (kept getting ropey recon ones that were no good & ended up buying a second hand Ford rack that has been fine for nearly a year now), front wishbones, strut mounts & bearings.....the list is endless really But for about 12 months now & about 25K, she's been the most reliable car that I've ever owned
