I had a Sierra resprayed about 14 yrs ago and it cost £600 then - dread to think what it would cost now Depends what sort of a job you want - a quick cheap job might cost you just a couple of hundred if you do the prep work, a decent job could easily run to a couple of grand.

i sort of guessed around that , any ideas on what to do/use to clean my bonnet up , they look like very light scratches , swirly marks , like a cat has been sitting on it. is there a specialist sort of scratch remover anyone can recommend

I would be very tempted to try a couple of cans of spray paint and see how it turns out. Most Ford colours can be bought on ebay for about £3 per can - Hycote brand - I've used them before, about 3 cans to paint a Scorpio rear bumper. Not really much to lose.

Rich. Couldn't you just get the bonnet sprayed ? the bloke who helps me with my vehicles would charge I reckon about £175.00,and depending on the amount of repairs, round about a grand for a complete job. GOZZ.
