Sounds like an interesting project.
I thought there was an issue with the BOB ignition system / PATS making it tricky to transplant ?
Might feel like doing something like this to my XR4i at some point in the future.
Do you know if I can stick a 4x4 sump on the cossie lump ?

Star sign is Scorpio !
Sierra XR4i's are great...especially when fitted with 4WD Smiley

I believe it can be made to fit fairly easily if memory serves me right.

Yes the PATS is complicated, Johns plan is to utilise the entire Scorpio wiring system, fuse boxes, lighting looms the lot so theoretically there shouldnt be a problem Wink

If you're prepared to live with an auto in whatever you transplant too, then it's just a rip out and transfer Smiley

Problem with EEC-V / BOB cossie comes when you try to put a manual box on the back on the engine - because the autobox controller is embedded on the ECU mainboard, it cant be easily tricked into working like the earlier BOA cossie ECUs could be.

BOB transplant is easy Smiley IF you budget an extra £500+ for an omex or Diamond management setup.....

I'll soon have a spare S reg Ultima - I might plan on lifting the engine and dropping it in the Westfield on Megasquirt managment - now that would be interesting Smiley

I've driven a Westfield with a Scorpio 2.0 16v installed and even that was seriously frightening  ROFL

Would need to be widened too over the standard westfield chassis - think they call it it the "fatboy" conversion (seriously !)  Smiley

Trouble is getting the power, and morover, the torque down to the road in one of those things - every year i watch a cossie powered westfield attempt the 0-60 sprint test at ford fair - and all he does is burn tyres and get naff times  Grin

Ahh, maybe I'm best sticking with by TB'd Pinto then - already @ 182bhp so that's plenty for a Westy.

I just miss not having something to swing a spanner on - I need a new project Smiley
