Were the 2.9 24V cossie's debadged. Cos the only sign outside the car is SCORPIO by the rear doors.........

Only very few of the ultimas had the ultima logo fitted on the rear 1/4 panel AFAIK its documented on the main site somewhere.

Not all 24v's were Ultimas. The 24v was available certainly as a Ghia and Ghia-X (not sure about the early Executive models but I think they were too)
As far as I remember, the early Scorpios (94, 95 etc) only had the "Scorpio" logo on the rear doors. Models after that seemed to have the model number as well; Ghia, Ghia-X etc.
No factory Scorpio had any mention of the Cosworth engine on the outside of the cars and probably because of the spate of thefts of Escort Cosworths which were around at the time of launch in 94
