Just been wondering how many Scorpio's on here are workhorses / daily drives, opposed to weekend only use

Apart from Hearse's/Limo's and Taxi's what else are they used regularly for ?

Any pics of Scorps in work mode ?

Here's mine on it's weekly pallet collection round.

Now you've got me worried Jonnycab Shocked

I thought self levelling shocks didn't start to work until the car started to move, thereby activating the pump within the shock absorbers, the car is still sat where it was loaded and not turned a wheel.  Huh

Only the Scorp for me too. 20 mile round trip to work 5 days a week plus weekend miles & holidays, reckon she'll do about 11-12k this year. Had  her since March, all good so far...... Smiley

My old 2300 Ghia was a daily workhorse - couldn't have asked for a better car for the purpose either Smiley

Cossie now tends only to come out and play on weekends - but thats mainly due to her hefty thirst  Roll Eyes

hopefully doing stage one of the big conversion in the next week which is fitting the manual gear box to the standard 2.9 lump and build the 4.0l over the winter (i hope)

front bumper and other cosmetics in various stages, then attack the inside with recaros which by now have a nice layer of dust on them (stored in the loft!)

bumper and grill need more work http://i28.tinypic.com/w852km.jpg but imo looking good so far

Used to use my old boat to do deliveries and tow cars about, here are a few of the pics.

2ton of glass on pallets due to be delivered. Note the old scorpio in the background.

Slab of marble being delivered to frankley. (quite a light load this time!!)

Towing my old diesel scorp estate to a meet.

2.5 ton of pipework which it took to Cambridgeshire from Birmingham.

As you can see it served me well as a tow vehicle, when we had run out of lorries!!

Well, the Ghia has now been upgraded to a weekend only car! I'm in South Wales during the week, and North Derbyshire at the weekend. I keep a little 106 in Wales for dodging around during the week (biggest car I can fit on the drive!), so the Ghia will be pampered during the week, and taken for a gentle lope at the weekend. She returned 37.4mpg on the way here Friday night, which I was delighted with...

To 'complete the fleet', the Mem Sahib has an old 95 Mondeo Ghia as her daily drive, and we have a 98 Previa on the drive for family duties...(I have four step-children). I've also very unexpectedly this weekend been 'handed down' my mother's 2000 Focus Ghia Auto with only 40k on the clock which I'm going to hold back for occasional trips to France (it's the 1.6, so good on fuel), and will replace She Who Must Be Obeyed's Mondeo when it finally gives up the ghost...
