Hi all. there is nowt on telly so i,ve been surfing around for a while. I decided to have a nose through Autotrader & did a nationwide search for scorpio's . Well i must say im supprised. Only one car under £600 & quite a few over the £1000 mark. What do you think ? Final realisation that the scorpio is actually an excellent car... OR..... A lot of optomistic sellers

Maybe people wakiing up to the new VED bandings ? Most Scorpio sized cars registered after March 2001 will be in the top group and cost over £400 per year just for a tax disc. Something else to bear in mind for 2001 onwards registered vehicles is that a new EU rule means that replacement Cats will have to be 'Type-Approved' which to you and me means 'more expensive' - and no doubt supplies will become 'unavailable' when the manufacturers decide you are keeping the car too long and should buy a newer model. Go retro - it's the future
