This is a 1993 Granada Hearse but according to the write up (and similar to the limo which was talked about on the forum a few days ago) has been "updated" with Scorpio front end.... interesting!

Another weird beast eh Baz ! it looks like a Wilcox Eagle conversion similar to their Carlton and Senator hearses, whoever 'upgraded it' must have changed all the hubs over as well to take the 12 spokes. The door handles and mirrors give it's age away.
Rodders, the dashboard looks a late mark 3,the marks 2 and early three had slider controls for the heating.
I will speak to the hearse guru later and possibly find out more.

Sorry, my mistake, I had not long climbed out of the sack and had blurry vision when I replied. (-_-)zzzzzzzz
I thought the speedo area looked squarish like the MK2 did.

Oi Rodders,I ope yer not drivin the Emporium van in that state !! you might mistake a vehicle of the Leicestershire Constabulary for an antagonistic motorist !!
Mike Holmes.
That is a very cheap hearse to the uninitiated,Coleman Milne are trying to get rid of it because it's not one of their's,and don't rate it as a very viable vehicle,it would have come to them as a trade in and they will already have made their money.Don't forget that these are tools of the trade, not to be confused with Scorpio cars.

Just the thing for transporting surfboards...seen it done down the West Country a few years back - an old Austin Princess hearse near Newquay and a Ford Zodiac hearse painted in 'Old English White' near Looe. Both obviously owned by surf shops.

Sierra XR4i's are great...especially when fitted with 4WD Smiley

Barring transporting coffins, surfboards & large sheets of MDF, there probably isn't much else you could use it for...apart from maybe a compact & height restricted camper van ?....Bags underneath the woodwork & sleeping bags on top....Or vice-versa

I once knew of a Granada MK3 hearse which had had the side windows removed & sheet steel welded in it's place ! With all the coffin gubbins removed it made an excellent van for his valeting buisness Smiley

I sold a Mk 1 hearse to my nephew in Newquay a few years ago,he fancied the idea of using it for his personal transport,he rang me when he got home and said that a hitch hiker who he picked up became quite concerned when the speedo reached 110 mph on the M5 !! In the end it had to go because his girlfriend's neighbours considered a petition to have it removed from outside their houses !!Presumably it would be OK to bring a hearse into the street if they happened to have died !!
