Scorpio prices on the up!

I dunno if its the high scrap price, low value of the pound, the recession forcing people to downgrade or not to upgrade their car, or a combination of the above but the selling prices (and asking prices)! are definitely on the rise..
I keep a close eye on ebay, autotrader etc and cars seem to be shifting for about 50% more than they were a year ago, which I find surprising considering we are averaging 1.20 a litre for fuel and thats only going to increase..
I've not bought one for ages, even the scrappers are fetching 300 quid!

Yes I've been watching eBay as well lately, does indeed seem that the cheap ones are so cos of problems (including won't drive at all so bring a trailer  )

When was the last time we saw those sort of prices??
I bought my purple 24v for £1500 over 5 years ago!

I think it's only in the UK the scorpios are/were exceptionally cheap. In Germany for example, don't expect anything but a non-runner or seriously faulty for less than 1000 euros. A decent one averages at 1500-2000 euros.
