Looks normal obviously an early production model as it does not have the 7000 radio otherwise looks good for its year!

Snoopy.
I have noticed that for some unknown reason the earlier cars seem to wear better on the body and retain their originality longer.

I agree the earlier ones do seem to be better fighting the tin worm attacks.... My old 12v certainly did not have any rust problems when I sold it on. Still miss the old car but , I don't think I could afford to run it in today's climate.

Your not wrong there Snoopy ! The novelty of careful driving & squeezing the most out of my fuel is now wearing off Sad. If fuel prices go any higher i will be reduced to public transport Sad Sad

i drive a bus and use a rover 100 to get to work, 45 mpg, my scorpio comes out sunday for a litle luxury spin. 15 years ago i had an ex police car a 2.8 manual granada, it cost me £5 a day infuel, £2,50 a gallon to get to work and back.
the moral is i drove at 55 mph on motorrway and accelerated so slowly from the lights, that i actually drove more carefully with a large engine.
i also had a 1,8 diesel fiesta back then  and i booted it sometimes abit without care and al because it did 55mpg.
big engines actually make you drive more safely.
