Although he died on Sunday, I've only just heard the sad news......the rock world has lost a legend  Sad

To my ears, he was one of most unique & great, if not the greatest heavy rock vocalist of all time, who's career spanned 52 years.

He may have been small in stature, but he had the voice & lungs of a giant......rumour has it, that when the mic went off (technical hitch) whilst playing Hammersmith Odeon, you could still hear him  Shocked

As a tribute, Rainbow's 'Rising', Sabbath's 'Heaven & Hell' & Dio's 'Holy Diver' albums will be playing in my taxi tomorrow night  Cool......Cheesy

RIP  Ronnie James Dio.....1942 - 2010

I second that JC. A huge loss to the world of rock. On a rather annoying note Kerrang radio ( a supposed rock station ) have hardly mentioned the sad loss let alone played a Dio track. After a strongly worded txt message to the station they finally played Holy Diver on the drive home this evening. Im happy to say i sang my head off ( albeit with a little lump in my throat ) with the stereo cranked up full. So long Ronnie. It's been fun xxx
