Hello All Just a quicky. As the speedo on my Scorp reads 10% fast,i found this out whilst useing a Sat Nav,and then confirmed here on the forum some where. Does this also mean that the trip computer is telling me that i am getting more miles to the gallon than i realy am i.e. 10% less to the gallon Unless the trip computer is calabrated to compensate for the 10% factor built into the speedo? If not ,that 30 m.p.g. would be 27m.p.g. Richard

No, the Scorpio speed measurement is very accurate - it's just what is explicitly told to the driver that is exaggerated. You can with your satnav do the following test: Press trip reset until you hear a beep Then press shortly (observing the trip display) until you get a "SPEED"/0 on the display. Compare while driving the reading to your satnav. I did the test at various speeds, and the error margin was at most 1km/h. It's messing with VSS pinions that messes things up. Internally everything is accurate.
