Yep, Happy New Year everyone Here's hoping that 2011 is better than 2010 was (for me at least, maybe you had a great year last year..) I was *somewhere* at 1am this morning, memory is hazy thanks to my good friend Glen Morangie, definitely not sober enough to even recognise a computer in those wee hours Bruce

Happy new year all I spent New Years Eve/Day as I usually do...sober as a judge & ferrying late night/early morning revellers back to their abodes This year was different though ......On previous New Years, I've always found most passengers to be quite civilised & thankful that a cab has pulled onto the taxi rank to take them home, even though it is double fare....but everyone knows that though don't they ? ....it's New Years It surprised me last night that practically every person/s I picked up gave me a load of (drunken) grief about the fare being double...asking me to justify why I'm charging this price ....."The council set the meter charges & the meters are pre-programmed to change at set times/dates. Ever since the dawn of man it's been double fare at Christmas & New Year" ....But you can't reason with a drunk & in their unbalanced minds, they are always right Don't think I'll bother next year....think I'll stay in & see in the new year with the wife & littl'un. As for the drunken revellers that don't mind spending £100 on a ticket to get into the local night club & begrudge paying for a taxi when they come out.....next New Years, they can walk home
