To be honest, I was going to put something on here yesterday about it, but I was too shocked Gary Moore was my fav guitarist of all time & was certainly a very big influence when I learnt to play....I'm gutted....another great musician gone before his time According to the Sun (so may well not be true), it looks like he went the same way that many other greats had before him.....choked to death on his own vomit while asleep, after a bout of heavy drinking

Yes, another very sad and premature loss. I was a big fan of Thin Lizzy way back in the 70's and 80's and saddened at the time by the death of Phil Lynott. Parisienne Walkways - fantastic track by the pair of them : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18FgnFVm5k0

As far as I can see it's only the Sun that has reported this sad news with the details of how we may have lost this exceptionally talented musician. Until details are confirmed I prefer not to read such speculation. Pity it got quoted here so quickly.

| Why is it a pity that this got quoted here so quickly ?....If I hadn't quoted it from that 'bog roll' of a newspaper, then someone else would have It's only been a day since Gary Moore passed away & naturally, anyone with any interest (ie..me) is going to be scouring the internet for any reason for his sad demise. It wouldn't surprise me if what the Sun say is wrong. They sell papers on the strength of sensationized & fabricated stories that come from the dodgy paparazzi style journalists that it employs & flimsy eye witness accounts. So it's safe to say, that they most likely jumped the gun & may well be completely wrong. Maybe the truth will be revealed in time.... or maybe the family will want it kept private....who knows ? All we can do at the moment though, is read what is written online & in the newspapers....although, as far as newspapers are concerned, it's not exactly front page news for them & will probably only get a small section. RIP Gary Moore

It's official, the Sun were completely wrong. According to the Gary Moore website, it was a heart attack http://www.gary-moore.com/
