driving on the right

Hello all. Anybody know the answer to this one? in a couple of weeks time, I will be going to France for a few days. I'm going in the Focus which has those Xenon headlights with auto-dipping. I believe they can be adjusted to swing the beam the other way. I called in to the FMD and they said they could do it but it would be about £50 and then I'd have to take it back to have them re-set for another £50. I'm sure it could be done at home for a little under nothing. Anyone know how? All the best. Trev.

Trevor.... The power of Google....Have a look at This page from Honest John. Third item mentions the Focus St. Looks like Stuart was right ..except...you may have to remove a cover to get at the lever.. Got to be worth a look. Enjoy your trip and hope Moll is ok. Mike.

Baz. All it says in the handbook is- when fitted with Xenon bulbs, it has to be adjusted professionally. Could be that playing with them can upset the self- levelling facility. Anyway, this AM I took it to a mechanic chum and we did it. One screw at the top and the whole unit comes away from the body. Two access holes on the back with rubber covers. Peeling the right one off gives you access to the adjustment lever. The whole thing took about five minutes if that. This saves £100! So yes, it cost slightly less than nothing! Trev.
