Scorpio 4x4 is the slowest running project in the world  Grin

I look at it now and again but always seem to have something better to do  Grin

Transit is the old 2.5 Di non turbo job fitted to the standard MT75 box, the 4x4 system works via a transfer box connected to the gearbox by a short prop.

That transfer box seems a fair way back from the gearbox.
Is it constant 4WD like the Granada 4x4 was or can it be switched to 2WD ?

Separate gearlever for the transfer box so can be used in:

2wd High (rwd) like a normal Transit

4wd High

4wd Low

Sound like the same transfer the ford maverick had but that was grafted on the back of the gear box

probably very similar, it uses the NP208 transfer case used in a huge amount of American stuff, Ford, Chevy, Jeep etc

The transfer case and front axle for this model Transit were actually lifted straight out the Ford Bronco.

Its basic but it works very well, no electronics in this beastie  Grin
