Hi guys, a friend of mine had her car tax reminder, For a year £160, a very small car, like an amica or something, So she got her 160 together, to get it over with, went to Post Office, They said it's gone up, It's 170 NOW. So she had to go home again and get more money, Is this another means of the government raising funds? i have not heard of this rise, and if it was 160 on the application form, surely that should have been enough? beware of this Government! Standard thing now moreso if your tax disc is due on 1st may. On the bottom of the reminder in red print it states.... THE RATES OF DUTY WERE CORRECT AT THE TIME OF PRINTING, A DIFFERENT RATE MAY APPLY FOLLOWING ANY BUDGET STATEMENT My Scorpio increased by £5 to £220 (£215 on the reminder)

All the changes from April 2012 are HERE if it helps. MOST went up by the cost of inflation but others went up MORE.
