Just thought i should introduce myself. My name is Daniel im 20 yeras old and love the scorpios. My mom and dad used to have sierras while i was young before buying a granada mk3 and that was it we were hooked lol. We then went on to own 6 mk3s and 2 scorpios one we still have now. I collect ford models like the Sierra cosworths by autoart minichamps scorpios etc and old ford brochures.
Here are some pics:

Well you certainly like Fords.   It's great to see young lads appreciating a really good car.   I work as a Lecturer in a small college in the North of Scotland, I'm an Engineer.   Most of the lads that I teach Engineering to are around your age or younger, all seem to get Corsa's or little hot-hatches.   I don't think one of them would know or appreciate a Ford Scorpio!   Anyways, welcome to this site, you'll enjoy being a member.

Seeing as 'Photobucket' screwed-up and deleted some of my pictures whilst clearing their site up, I'll add a few new ones below.   'Movvy' is the main car, 'Aunty' will be sold-off once I've swapped the boot-lid with movvy, or broken up for spares.   Both were in winter guise, the last one of 'Movvy' was the tail end of last summer after his round-trip to Malta and back.

Well, now you ask, I'm showing it tomorrow actually.   But only as a late entrant, and really just to promote my College.   I hope to get a few pics tomorrow of other cars, and will maybe post them up.   I also have an old Zodiac Executive across in Malta, one of the reasons for taking Movvy across to Malta last year was to take a load of spares across for 'Triple-Seven'.   The Zodi' has it's original Essex engine that's been bored-out a wee bit, and it has a German auto-box instead of the French C4.   It uses a LOT of fuel!   But it has no rust and starts every time even when left for 3-4 months.   It's a bit tired and the paint is quite bad because of the heat.

'Movvy' went across Europe with no-problems, although I did have to use the twin-fans on full manually a few times, and the air-con could now do with a re-gas.

Dan,

I have a load of Scorpio brochures and Scorpio models going on EBay shortly so keep your eyes peeled!!

When I was a mere slip of a lad of 18, I got my first Granada.... A MK1 2.0 GL. (My dad had a 3.0 Ghia and a 3.0Ghia company car too.... It was like the Krays outside our house as there was only one other person in our street with a car!

I graduated onto Sierra Ghias and then onto a 8 month old MK3 Granada 4x4 (C955FVM) I loved that car!! But I put 45k on it in 18 months and it had to go!!

I have since had numerous S Reg Scorpio 24v's (all facelifts) but my last one (S2.9COS) went to the breakers a few years back.

I now have found the ultimate replacement for my Scorpio (Which was blessed with many many extras such as rear entertainment system from a Mondeo, Cup holders, TV, Ford SatNav etc etc.) I now drive a LWB S Class Mercedes which comes with Freeview TV in the front and rear, Fridge, Rear and front aircon, glass roof, towbar (to drag my 1968 Corsairs around!!) and endless other options....

I miss my Cosworths and would love another,,,, but not the fuel bills that came with them - even though mine had LPG too!!

Welcome to the forum and hopefully you can persuade many more of your mates to buy Scorpios!!

The last 20 year old Danny we had who owned a Scorpio lived in Leeds.... he now lives in the US and drives a 4.6 litre ex Persuit Police car I believe!!

Whatever happened to Danny R.... He never writes me any more!!
