Saw this advertised at auction. PROJECT Spares/repairs. Low mileage as well. Not too sure about the proving ground diagnostics carried out at Dunton though. Some electrical investigation is required. Not for me this one but should make a nice spring project for some other enthusiast. Adam

It looks nice but if it was owned by the head of ford at Dunston would he have let them experiment on it?

AFAIK all the MD's had standard top of the range cars. ford did not in my knowledge do this sort of thing . Me thinks it been done by a previous owner. The car was never designed to have a spoiler. or vents on the bonnet. Smells a bit fishy to me! but that just my opinion.

some of the tweaks could've been done at Dunton - they used to play about with cars a fair bit and did the above mentioned stuff through their R&D I know of a very very late XR4i Sierra that was owned by a Dunton top bod that was retrofitted by them with the full ABS system when new I agree though it appears to have been played with too much for some of the mods to have been genuine....

Even Police rapid response vehicles were standard even if they may have had the engine re-mapped ..Never any additions on in the way of body styling.
