I was outside this morning clearing the snow off the car when an elderly chap walked past with his dog , said good morning as you do and he stopped looked at the car and said , thats a scorpio aint it , yep i replied , he then spent the 20minutes complimenting the car saying he had one many years ago and how much he loved them . After coming in and thawing out it got me wondering how many other fairly new/modern cars do people stop and look at and. Talk about , as the fella said ford thought outside the box when they made the scorpio and were maybe a bit ahead of their time . Bet nobody stops and talks about mercs ,bmws mondeos etc etc . Sort of makes you quite proud to own these great cars

Grin i have spoken to many people who take interest in our old scorpios even the mk3s we have had. Now we dont have a granada/scorpio for first time in 17 years. parents now have a mondeo  Embarassed  (their choiceRoll Eyes)  and have not had one person take any interest at all. Just shows you. I really miss the scorpio, make the most of it whilst you can, no other car is anywhere near them in my opinion  Smiley

Dan, why not get your self a 2.0, i bet its cheaper to insure then a small hatch, if you want a project car them im thinking of moving the TD on to make way for a smaller project  Roll Eyes

id hate it to end up being raced but i think it will be one of 2 options as i doubt anyone would want it as it stands

It's still a goodun and still looks just the same as in the pics, it's an Ultima, no rust even on the arches, everything works.
