Hi all
Just wondering if anyone knows the weight in tons of a scopio 24v saloon? Just figuring out transporter costs to collect one.

best to over estimate a little, i normally say 1.8 tons (there around 1.6ish)

I've a mate with a scrap-yard, and my 2.3 weighs in at just on 1680kg, so quoting 1800 kg should be enough.

You should be able to find car transportation services on ebay
If you are considering hiring a trailer to tow with a car on it don't forget to factor in the weight of the trailer 
You also need to consider if your driving licence covers you to tow a trailer of that size & weight.

Thanks for info i have found a few on ebay, apperently it has to be a 7.5t truck bacause of the 24v weight takes vans over the limit  the car might even drive back its just abit risky.

How far have you got to move it ?
24v is not that much heavier than the 16v versions, would not have thought weight an issue for a car transportation business, they must move other stuff around that weight surely.
I've towed cars on trailers before with a Mk2 Granada estate without issue, even towed a trailer 250 miles to pick up a bare bodyshell and then 250 miles back on the same day with my 2.3 Scorpio [ Currently garaged, not in use  ]
