Toying with the idea of a full respray on one of my 24v. Seen this some time ago but don't know what the colour is. Anyone know? Is it Nantucket Grey?? Or even Auralis Blue or Cuirass?? Also seen a Loden Green in the flesh recently. Looks good on a Scorpio. Thanks

I'd take a guess on that being Cuirass - same as mine. It's a blue-grey-silver if that makes sense I think Auralis is more blue - somewhere I have an Auralis touch-up paint pen which was purchased in error and it is clearly different from Cuirass. Looking at some Scorpio brochures Nantucket grey would be much darker. Only ever seen 1 Scorpio in Loden green - different to say the least !

my old scorpio 24v as a lovley green. It was different to our old 2.3 though, that was tourmallard green, the 24v in this pic was a much nicer green in my opinion. Polished up a treat Not sure if its the green you are talking about though. Pic not much detail but the original is HUGE. [img][/img]

I have a loden green 24v scorpio and it does look good and the only problem I have found is when driving down country lanes people try driving into you as they can't see you as it is the same colour as the hedges lol.

Loden was a nice colour IMO, but greens are a kinda love/hate thing for some people. I'm guessing that grey is a post-97 facelift colour, never seen it on an early car. The facelifts got some of the best colours, like Atlantic Blue and that light metallic alpine green colour. Dan, I'm curious...I thought Tourmallard was the only dark green Ford offered? What was the name of the colour of the car in that photo? Looks too dark for Juice Green (AKA Mondeo/Focus), but more like Forest Green (AKA Capri 280).

| Im not sure what it was called mate. We had the 2.3 in tourmallard and this 24v at the same time for a little while and the 24v was deffinatly lighter in colour much much nicer imo. Matt did see it maybe he knows the name of it?

Ah, shame. The colour in the pic with the sun on it looks similar to my Loden green. In duller light it almost looks black !

Dan, Was that the modded one you had? Maybe they did a full respray at the same time they restyled it? Scorpio: Take a look at pages 15-16 of this - maybe it's Astor Grey?: http://www.smartexpress.co.uk/downloads/ford%20colour%20range.pdf Weird that they list the Scorpio for 1999 and list some colours for it that I've never seen on one (Amparo Blue and Copper Glow? Thought they were Escort/Ka colours?) Bruce.
