Great news but I really hope it won't be sold as Mondeo. Scorpio Vinagle sounds much better. Seeing that the new Mondeo doesn't look as crappy as Mondeo did, they sould drop the name already.

Reading that 'autoexpress' review, I must conclude that Ford are in fact run by newly employed, degree qualified lame brains, who cannot envisage anything being better than the Mondeo. Do these idiots not realise that the Mondeo name is now & always will be (in the eyes of the public) type cast as a reps/family car. It doesn't matter if they give it the handling capabilities & luxury of the Starship Enterprise...it's still called a Mondeo & this in name will prevent it from becoming a rival to other companies like Mercedes, BMW etc top of the range models. If these Ford head honchos really did have a clue, then they would commission the design for a new luxury model range with a different name....maybe the new Scorpio, or maybe a brand new model name. Maybe just call it the Ford Vignale....it sounds quite posh Toyota entered the luxury market with the Lexus brand & did very well.....maybe Ford should take note & do something along similar lines

JC for CEO Ford Europe now I fully understand why you chose the SAAB for cabbing what you say is possibly pretty near the truth though,no amount of high level education will necessarily make a perceptive switched on person in any position, one would really think that employers would be aware of that, presumably stupidity and confusion starts at the top
