Drivers Door Lock

The central locking only works on the passenger door. Will I need new lock or has some thing fallen off

Sounds like an electrical problem - may be worth checking the cables into the doors!

also worth thinking that the drivers lock hardly gets used because of the remote locking,had the same problem,plenty of WD40,and keep trying,hopefully like mine,the lock will eventually "free up".....

Maybe I worded this wrong the central locking works with the key from the passenger side, the key fits in the lock but doesn't do anything, on the drivers side,it will only lock from the passenger side.There is no remote for the central locking it is all done from a key.

does you car not/never had remote locking ?,all ford keys will LOCK all ford cars,(well the rounded ones anyway),maybe somone has changed a lock at sometime then,sound doubtfull at the moment,but lets wait and see about the remote .....

being an ultima,should of had remote locking/unlocking,my guess is still that the lock might have seized up a little,how long have you had the car ?,if you have recently bought it,any chance of contacting the previous owner to see if a remote is availiable ?
