CAR WON'T START

Hi! Just found site while trying to fix elec problem.
Can anybody help please. whilst driving,all electrics on dash go off(int lights and radio stay working)then come back after a few minutes. today they have gone off and stayed off. car will not start but could put windows back up using key.have checked earth wires on battery but knowledge of elecs doesn't go much further. terrified to go to dealer. Seems I have written something wrong as I seem to be only person on here not to get a reply. When this problem occurs the curtesy light (door open) stays lit and when I turn it off it will not go back on.

trawled through pages and found same problem. solved by lespartt. THANKYOU lespartt changing relay did trick. THIS SITE IS THE BUSINESS.

I have been so busy in work just havent had time to get on here. My spelling is terrible I know but I put it down to a slip on the keyboard.
