Battery Spec

I've had my Scorp for 2 years now and have had only one problem with it - flat battery. It's a '95 Estate with all the extras (except battery cover ), 2.0 16v. In Cornwall (Oct 2002) we got loads of rain and this flattened the battery. I got a replacement new battery but now if I leave it for anything over 48 hours it needs recharging. It's 12v, 54 aH, 510 A. Is this powerful enough or should I get another one? Also could this indicate an alternator problem? It charges at 13.6v when the engine is running. Any clues would be really helpful, thanks.

i'll let others talk you through any particular charging problems but it is a must that you get the battery cover. Finis 1011540 price 7-00. Read details on our site to see the harm that can be caused by not having one fitted. Pete c

Thanks allante, After being charged overnight the car started and battery is being charged at 13.9 according to the dash - think I'll replace it and see what happens. Perhaps I've a drain somewhere.
