Car stalls after 5min

Nearly everytime my wife drives the car it stalls after 5-10min and has difficulty starting.

It will restart but needs the key to be held for 5-10seconds and I think a little press of the accelarator helps.

It has only happend to me once, but when I drive it the traffic is usually clearer.

After this first stall and restart the car is always fine.

Before the stall occurs the engine seems to loose power, if you can keep driving and increase the revs the situation passes. If you need to drive slow or stop the engine runs erratically and then cuts out/stalls.

hi there

we need a few more details. is this happening when the car is hot or cold? i see the car is converted to lpg. what temperture is it set to kick in at? i think i remember that fueling is increased at cold start up, could it be that a sensor is playing up and telling the ecu that the engine is cold all the time? just a thought.

It's always 5min after the car is started from cold.

It'always started to happen when in gas mode, but when it happend to me I quickly switched it over to petrol and revved and it still stalled.

I have an OBD lead which I am connecting in the next 1/2 hr, but I don't really know how to use it and other than if a fault code pops up straight away.

No codes on the OBD other than P1131 lack of HO2S11, which is the LPG, someone said that was normal.

As I said I don't really know what I'm looking for but one thing looks suspicous:

On the data the FUELSYS12 the date code shows:

OL NA     (open loop-has not satified condistions to go closed loop), this then changes to:
CL NA     (closed loop - using oxygen sensors as feedback for fuel control)

then about 50 seconds later to:
OL-Fault NA (open loop due to detected system fault)

hi there

have you check the lamba for switching on petrol? mine is switched off on gas also. i down about 4 mpg with it on. why that is, i'm not sure. well i'm a bit...it runs rich! try running only on petrol for a day or so. if it works fine, then it's the gas conversion. could be duel fueling or a injector might have a small leak until it runs out of petrol.
not sure about the codes. i would need to put my obd11 cable back on check again. i get the lack of ho2s11 code, but not sure about the fuelsys12.
