M.P.G low on 2.3 Ultima Estate (lpg)

Hi Guys need some help regards m.p.g, i've got a 2.3 Uktima Estate which also uses lpg problem is that on journeys either long or short on gas or petrol, instant reading only shows about 18-20 m.p.g and average m.p.g over journey's is only 17-18 m.p.g. Can some please help have got a droning noise from rear possible bearings ned replacing could this influence m.p.g? Also has anyone got a spare trip computer switch my reset button does not work so i need a new one? Fitzy

as well as the reset button not working,with a reading like that it may be faulty as well,buttons are replaceable,but a little tricky,new unit from ford comes in at about £28.00....... HTH craig..

Hi With figures like that you must drive flat out every where you go. I guess you are getting your figures from the trip computer so must be a problem there, try working out your MPG with out the computer. I get 25 MPG from a 24V towing a 16 ft car trailer. If you mean the 3 button module to control the computer then I think I have one. Dave

Hi JohnJ I did read your post in the news section thats why i put my post in cos my m.p.g was so low using boyh fuels, and yes there is a definate click when i press reset button. Where can i get some circuit spray from, would like to try that first before replacing whole switch. Fitzy
