Footwell and interior lights fault

Re the previous message I meant Newbie !!! bit tired thats all.
My interior and footwell lights are permanently on when driving and take about 30 minutes to go off after the ignition is off. Im assuming some timer logic has failed somewhere. has anyone any ideas.
