can someone recommend a spark plug for my 2.0 16v LPG. i was going to buy NGK plugs tomorrow and a set of ignition leads too, the guy in the shop says these are the best for my car, anyone agree/disagree, recommend any?? what plug gap should i run with? hopefully this will stop my mis-firing when running on gas, as i am currently running on petrol at vast expense!!!

hi there you can't get ignition leads for the 16 valve engine. see http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/dohcloom.htm re plugs. they should be fine. are they multi 'pronged'? and of the resistor type? one of the downside to a lpg conversion is that if you have any type of mis-fire, you'll see/feel it 10 times as bad running it on the gas. hth ps. remember when ordering any part (ex ford) for the scorpio, tell them it's for the scorpio 95-98, NOT a granada! pps. i should have added, if you can make the derby meeting, i'll plug in the obd-2 and see if there is any error codes to work from.

oops sorry I for got about the HT set up on your car. recomended NGK plugs for 2.0 16v are PFR6B, check price first, they are expensive, gen ford are half the price, be sure to reduce gap to 0.8mm, check wiring as shown non the link, check the ceramic insulators on your original plugs, if there are burn marke runnind top to btm you will need to replace the revivant coil, or it will just happen again. Advise is free I will be at Derby. Martin
