Footwell lights again

Hi, nobody replied to my previous post so i'll try again. When i open the doors the under door lights come on as do the interior and footwell lights. The under door lights go off when the doors shut but the interior and footwell lights stay on the whole time the ignition is on ( ie when im driving ) Once the ignion is off and the car is locked they take about 20 mins to go out. They are obviously on some timer circuit that gone T*Ts up. Has anyone any knowledge of the location of the control board and its location. Many Thanks Steve

Hi. I just want to take a minute to say that you're not being ignored. I'm stumped by it and giving it some thought. I guess everyone else is too Paul

There you are the CENTRAL timer unit is located behind the dash on the drivers side it is quite easy to et at and requires romval of the small pull down flap on the etc it is held on by FIVE (5) screws on the drivers side .. details of how to get at it are here http://www.bigesmalls.freeserve.co.uk/timerunit.pdf for a day or two then its gone Hope this helps Snoopy

When I first got the car On two occaisions smoke came out of the right hand air vent ( just a lttle ) and despite my best efforts I couldn't find out what the problem was. I wonder if this time unit was at fault could this have been the reason for the smoke, its on the right side. Also does anyone know what else it controls. Cheers Steve
