Joys of the Scorpio

I spent the weekend cutting out the old engine/gearbox wiring on my 24V and replacing it with now wires. The problem was caused by water/antifreeze leaking from the water manifold were the top hose goes into the heads. I replaced the manifold which had corroded badly with a now part £118+vat I also replaced the “O” rings. I put it all back the car started after tries went for a drive the gears now all work fine. 
Pulling on to the drive the steering was making a hell of a grinding sound when going from lock to lock. Took of the n/s wheel to find the road spring had broken. Looks like next weekend will also be a Scorpio weekend.
