My indicator lights have started to flash at a slower and slower rate.

Battery and alternator fine.

Is it the flasher unit, ??

Where is this located?

cheers

Not sure Dai, but i think the flasher unit is under the steering wheel column shroud. Put it on and try and locate the ticking. Unless someone else knows better of course! john.n Smiley

I'd do the same thing, listen for the ticking and then find the relay. It sounds as if there's increase electrical resistance somewhere in the circuit. Check for corrosion on all contacts.

Hi, if the drivers flasher works normal, it should be that you have the passenger side missing causing the problem, I seem to remember I had that fault on a MK V Cortina once.

Best of luck,

Check your bulbs are correct too, one that is of a slightly different rating can cause them to flash more quickly, so may be able to do this too!  Smiley
