permanant remote control fix-at last!

well after trying loads of things to repair the remote// used the conductive paint-it came off glued good contacts from another tv remote-they fell off after a month, looked aroung for a s.h remote but all the adverts say "not known if its working". ive got hold of a 3 button approx 5 yr old Jag remote from my brother who luckily works as a main dealer mechanic. It looks very similar but the case and buttons are not quite the same. It doesnt use carbon pads on the rubber keypad it used very small flat click switches. Ive unsoldered these and soldered them directly to the pcb of the scorpio remote and it works a treat. Best of all these buttons will last for ages/for ever!. Only prob i guess is getting the jag remote to rob the switches, although my brother says if the remote packs up they just supply and new one and the old one just gets left in whoevers toolbox,so im sure if you asked around the back of the service center for a old faulty remote the mechanics would let you have one for a fiver or something.
