Hi, I wondered if anyone can advise me. I was offered a 97 Ultima with long MOT and short tax ,its fully loaded and the body is in good condition, the seller wants £1000 ,the thing that worries me is the mileage ,it has done 190K and that is whats putting me off, I would be grateful for any words of wisdom.            Thanks in advance.

also any history,if it is an ex fleet or company car,the mileage might not sound that bad, these cars are usually very thoroughly serviced, and at regular imtervals

If it's legit and has some history, sounds like a good deal.Again what size engine? How many owners as well.If it's got quite a few, could be a sign of ongoing problems, that no one wants to fix and it keeps getting passed on.If it has history, that's a good start, then it's definately worth HPI'ing it,for piece of mind.Hope this helps.

Hi, The car is a 2.3 Lt. it has some history and 2 owners from new. In reply to Nick I already have a 2Lt. Executive and I wanted an Ultima 2.3 or a 2.9 but thanks for the offer.I have another question if anyone can help. When I bought the alloys I have on the Executive one of them had a small hole in it which was caused by a track rod end .Does this have to be welded or can I use something like Wonder Weld ? or would the pressure be to much.  Thanks for all the previos advice...

would of thought that ANY damage to the wheels, should not be repaired really, they and the tyres are the only things that keep you on the road,i would personally recommend a whole new wheel...........
