Side Mirrors only move in one direction

Hi, Just bought a '95 Ultima today and noticed a problem after I came home. The side mirrors will only move in one direction. I.e. when I use the controller on the driver's side door they are unresponsive in all directions apart from left (both left and right hand side mirrors). If I reset the setup by using the 1-2-3 buttons at the bottom they move in all directions, so seems to be the controller unit? Has anyone come across this before? - Andreas

Sounds as though it could be the switch to me.

when i first got mine had the same problem, only worked up or down, after a couple of days of continually trying,it freed up,so it does sound like the switch, keep trying, hope it works for you as well, the switches can do this if they are not used too often, and if it is the same driver driving the car all the time, the switch probably never gets used ..........
