The Passive Anti Theft system incorporated into the scorpio is very complex and is virtually impossible to bypass. I wouldnt  even start touching any of the system. expensive if anything breaks.

I had to repair a wiring loom (no surprise there it would seem) it had a small shorting session after garage changed gearbox. Now it all seems to initialise but the imobiliser seems to be stopping the engine firing up.
To be honest getting more than a bit fed up with it.
May just cut my losses and loose the £1200 for the gear box and buy another car. Shame is I just renewed all the brakes and stuff.

Check the fuel cut off loom and also the reset button for the fuel pump....

Could be something as simple as that....

Cheers

Yep I thought of that, I guessed at the imobiliser as the led on the dashboard is not doing it's usual flashing thing. But thanks for the thought.
